Aluminum Solid Wire - ER5356
ER5356 aluminum MIG wire is the high-strength aluminum filler (AWS A5.10), an aluminum-magnesium (~5% Mg) alloy with higher tensile strength and excellent saltwater corrosion resistance. Stiffer than ER4043, it feeds more reliably and color-matches anodized work — the standard for marine, 5xxx-series, and structural aluminum. Spooled in .030", .035", and 3/64".

Frequently Asked Questions
Why is ER5356 used for marine work?
Its magnesium content gives higher strength and excellent resistance to saltwater corrosion, making it the standard for boats and 5xxx-series marine aluminum.
Does ER5356 feed better than ER4043?
Yes — it's a stiffer wire, so it pushes through guns and liners more reliably, which helps with spool-gun and longer-feed setups.
