HYW Products' ERCuSi-A Silicon Bronze TIG welding rod is a copper-silicon filler metal (AWS A5.7/A5.7M ERCuSi-A) supplied in 36" cut lengths for GTAW (TIG) welding and braze welding. Its low melting point and excellent flow make it ideal for joining and surfacing copper, brass, and galvanized or coated steels with minimal heat input — reducing burn-through and distortion on thin sheet.
Key Features
- AWS A5.7/A5.7M ERCuSi-A copper-silicon (silicon bronze) classification
- Low heat input minimizes warping and burn-through on thin-gauge sheet metal
- Excellent wetting and flow for clean, strong braze-welded joints
- Strong corrosion resistance in marine and freshwater environments
- Runs on 100% argon shielding, DCEN (straight polarity) for TIG
- 36" precision-cut rods available in multiple diameters and pack sizes
Ideal Applications
- Braze welding galvanized, zinc-coated, and mild steel sheet
- Auto body and sheet-metal repair where low distortion is critical
- Joining copper, brass, and silicon bronze base metals
- Corrosion-resistant surfacing and overlay
- Marine hardware, tanks, and ornamental metalwork
