Munhwa SM Steel Marker is a purpose-built washable industrial marker for metal — a bold 8 mm chisel mark that stays put through handling and production, then washes off completely with water, alkali or acid cleaning. It is the marker automotive weld shops and press shops reach for when a part has to be identified in-process but must arrive at paint with a clean surface.
Made in Korea by Munhwa (Kangnam KPI Co., Ltd.), a dedicated marker manufacturer since 1949. Sold as a 12-count box (1 dozen) in Blue and Pink — the two high-visibility colors specified for steel and galvanized work.

Will the mark survive until the wash stage?
Yes. The ink is designed to stay legible through in-process handling, stacking and transfer, and only lifts under an actual wash — water, alkali or acid.
Does it leave a ghost or halo after washing?
No. It is formulated to wash out cleanly so the surface accepts primer and paint normally.
How is this different from the U-Mark WASHOFF?
The WASHOFF is a removable paint marker with a reversible bullet/chisel tip and six colors. The Munhwa SM is a removable ink marker with a fixed 8 mm chisel and a much wider stroke, aimed squarely at automotive weld and press shop marking.
