HYW E316L-16 Stainless Steel Stick Electrode — All Position

Regular price $13.07 Sale

HYW E316L-16 is an all-position molybdenum-bearing stainless steel stick electrode (SMAW) for welding AISI 316 and 316L stainless steels. The added molybdenum and extra-low carbon deliver excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, making it the standard choice for marine, chemical, and pharmaceutical service.

Key Features

  • › AWS A5.4 classification E316L-16
  • › Molybdenum alloyed for superior pitting & crevice corrosion resistance
  • › Extra-low carbon (≤0.04%) prevents intergranular corrosion
  • › Rutile coating — smooth arc, easy slag removal, clean bead
  • › All-position welding on AC or DC electrode positive (DCEP / DC+)

Ideal Applications

  • › Welding and repair of 316 / 316L stainless steel
  • › Marine hardware, chemical and pharmaceutical equipment
  • › Tanks, piping, and corrosion-critical fabrication
