Stainless - Flux Cored Wire

Stainless steel flux-cored welding wire (FCAW, AWS A5.22) from HYW Products in 308L, 309L, and 316L all-position grades, plus E308LT0-3. Flux-cored stainless gives high deposition and easy slag removal for faster stainless fabrication. Pick the alloy by base metal — 304, dissimilar joints, or corrosion-critical 316.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why choose flux-cored stainless over solid wire?
Flux-cored stainless deposits faster with a forgiving, all-position arc and self-releasing slag — productive for thicker stainless and out-of-position fabrication. Solid MIG wire is better for thin material and the cleanest cosmetic welds.

What's the difference between an all-position wire and E308LT0-3?
The all-position (308L/309L/316L) wires can be welded flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead. E308LT0-3 is a T0 wire rated for flat and horizontal positions — great for high-speed welds on those joints.
