HYW E6011 Premium Arc Stick Electrodes are engineered for demanding, high-volume welding and supplied in a 50 lb hermetically sealed steel can that locks out moisture and protects every rod until use. The high-cellulose covering delivers a deep, fast-freezing penetrating arc that cuts through rust, scale, and paint, producing strong X-ray-quality welds in all positions — the dependable choice for professional welders and production fabrication.

Key Features

  • 50 lb hermetically sealed can preserves electrode integrity and shelf life
  • High-cellulose covering for a deep, forceful penetrating arc
  • True all-position performance, including vertical-down welding
  • Weld metal meets X-ray radiographic quality requirements
  • Tolerant of poor groove fit-up, rust, mill scale, and painted surfaces
  • Easy slag removal and high ductility for clean, reliable results

Ideal Applications

  • Pipe and pipeline welding
  • Structural steel and building construction
  • Shipbuilding and heavy fabrication
  • High-volume production, maintenance, and repair work

Available Sizes & Recommended Amperage

Diameter (× 14") Recommended Amperage
3/32" 40 – 90 A
1/8" 75 – 125 A
5/32" 110 – 165 A

Packaging & Storage

Each can is hermetically sealed at the factory to keep electrodes dry and ready to weld. After opening, store the can in a clean, dry environment and reseal between uses. As a cellulosic electrode, E6011 relies on a controlled level of coating moisture for its characteristic arc — avoid high-temperature oven baking, which can degrade performance.

Recommended amperage ranges are general guidelines; optimal settings vary with base-metal thickness, joint design, and welding position.
