HYW ER308L Stainless Steel MIG Welding Wire

Regular price $20.70 Sale

HYW ER308L Stainless Steel MIG Welding Wire is a low-carbon (L) austenitic stainless MIG wire (19% Cr / 9% Ni) for welding AISI 301, 302, 304 and 304L stainless steels. The low carbon content minimizes carbide precipitation for excellent intergranular corrosion resistance, while the high-silicon chemistry gives smooth wetting, a stable arc and clean, bright welds.

Key Features

  • Low-carbon (L) chemistry minimizes carbide precipitation and intergranular corrosion
  • High-silicon formulation for smooth wetting, a stable arc and reduced spatter
  • Bright, clean, X-ray quality welds with easy slag / oxide cleanup
  • Precision-wound layer spools for consistent, tangle-free feeding

Ideal Applications

  • Welding 304 / 304L and 308 / 308L stainless base metals
  • Food, beverage, dairy and brewing equipment
  • Sinks, tanks, railings and architectural stainless fabrication
  • Kitchen, restaurant and sanitary equipment
  • General-purpose austenitic stainless fabrication and repair

Available Sizes & Recommended Amperage

Diameter Recommended Amperage
.023" (0.6 mm) 30 – 90 A
.030" (0.8 mm) 40 – 145 A
.035" (0.9 mm) 50 – 180 A
.045" (1.2 mm) 75 – 350 A

Recommended amperage ranges are general guidelines; optimal settings vary with base-metal thickness, joint design, shielding gas, and welding position. Store wire in a dry location to prevent oxidation and ensure smooth feeding.
