HYW ER308L Stainless Steel MIG Welding Wire is a low-carbon (L) austenitic stainless MIG wire (19% Cr / 9% Ni) for welding AISI 301, 302, 304 and 304L stainless steels. The low carbon content minimizes carbide precipitation for excellent intergranular corrosion resistance, while the high-silicon chemistry gives smooth wetting, a stable arc and clean, bright welds.
Key Features
› Low-carbon (L) chemistry minimizes carbide precipitation and intergranular corrosion
› High-silicon formulation for smooth wetting, a stable arc and reduced spatter
› Bright, clean, X-ray quality welds with easy slag / oxide cleanup
› Precision-wound layer spools for consistent, tangle-free feeding
Ideal Applications
› Welding 304 / 304L and 308 / 308L stainless base metals
› Food, beverage, dairy and brewing equipment
› Sinks, tanks, railings and architectural stainless fabrication
› Kitchen, restaurant and sanitary equipment
› General-purpose austenitic stainless fabrication and repair
