E7024 and E7014
E7014 and E7024 iron-powder stick electrodes are high-deposition, 70 ksi mild steel rods (AWS A5.1 / ASME SFA-5.1) built for fast, clean fabrication welds. E7014 is an all-position iron-powder rutile rod that fills poor fit-up with a smooth, fast arc; E7024 is a heavy iron-powder drag rod for very high-speed flat and horizontal-fillet welds on plate. Available in 3/32", 1/8", and 5/32", in 10 lb boxes and 50 lb sealed cans.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between E7014 and E7024?
E7014 is all-position and handles a wider range of joints, while E7024 carries a much heavier iron-powder coating for the highest deposition and travel speed — but only in the flat and horizontal-fillet positions. Use E7014 for versatility, E7024 for production fillet welding on plate.
Can E7024 weld vertical or overhead?
No. E7024 is a flat / horizontal-fillet-only rod. For out-of-position work, choose all-position E7014, E7018, or E6011.
