Stainless Solid wire - ER316L
ER316L stainless steel solid wire is a molybdenum-bearing filler (AWS A5.9) for welding 316 and 316L stainless. The added molybdenum gives superior resistance to pitting and chloride corrosion, making it the standard for marine, chemical-processing, pharmaceutical, and food-grade equipment. Low-carbon for corrosion resistance; spools in .035" and .045".

Frequently Asked Questions
When should I use ER316L instead of ER308L?
Whenever the base metal is 316/316L or the part sees chlorides, salt water, or corrosive chemicals. The molybdenum in ER316L resists pitting and crevice corrosion that would attack a 308L weld.
Is ER316L good for marine use?
Yes — it's a standard choice for marine, chemical, and food/pharmaceutical equipment thanks to its chloride-corrosion resistance.
