Regular price $12.68 Sale

HYW ER4047 TIG welding rod is a high-silicon aluminum-silicon (Al-12%Si) filler supplied as 36" straight cut lengths for GTAW (TIG) and torch brazing. Its low melting range and excellent fluidity make it the preferred filler for aluminum brazing and for repairing cast aluminum components. Select your diameter and bundle size from the dropdown.

Key Features

  • › AWS A5.10 classification ER4047 (Al-Si, ~12% Si)
  • › 36" straight cut lengths for TIG / GTAW and torch brazing
  • › Lower melting range and narrower freezing range than ER4043
  • › Excellent fluidity for flowing into tight joints and cast aluminum repair

Ideal Applications

  • › Cast aluminum repair (engine parts, housings, radiators, heat exchangers)
  • › A356 / 356 / 413 aluminum castings
  • › Aluminum brazing and cladding on 1100 / 3003 aluminum
  • › 6xxx-series extrusions where a free-flowing, low-melt filler is an advantage
