HYW Products' ERCuAl-A2 Aluminum Bronze TIG welding rod is a copper-aluminum filler metal (AWS A5.7/A5.7M ERCuAl-A2) supplied in 36" cut lengths for GTAW (TIG). Known for high strength, hardness, and outstanding resistance to wear, cavitation, and salt-water corrosion, it is a go-to choice for surfacing bearing surfaces and for joining and repairing aluminum-bronze castings.

Key Features

  • AWS A5.7/A5.7M ERCuAl-A2 copper-aluminum (aluminum bronze) classification
  • High tensile strength and hardness for wear- and load-bearing surfaces
  • Excellent resistance to corrosion, cavitation, and erosion in seawater
  • Well suited to dissimilar-metal joints and anti-galling overlays
  • Runs on 100% argon shielding, DCEN (straight polarity) for TIG
  • 36" precision-cut rods available in multiple diameters and pack sizes

Ideal Applications

  • Surfacing bearing surfaces, gears, bushings, and wear plates
  • Repair and joining of aluminum-bronze castings and propellers
  • Marine hardware, pump and valve components, and shafts
  • Corrosion- and cavitation-resistant overlays
  • Joining dissimilar metals and build-up of worn parts
