HYW ER316LSi High-Silicon Stainless Steel MIG Welding Wire

Regular price $180.63 Sale

HYW ER316LSi High-Silicon Stainless Steel MIG Welding Wire is a molybdenum-bearing, low-carbon (L), high-silicon (Si) austenitic stainless MIG wire (18% Cr / 12% Ni / 2.5% Mo) for maximum resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. The elevated silicon content improves puddle wetting and fluidity for smoother, flatter beads and reduced spatter in high-deposition production welding, while low carbon and added molybdenum deliver superior corrosion resistance. Supplied on large production spools.

Key Features

  • Elevated silicon (LSi) chemistry for superior wetting, fluid puddle and flatter beads
  • Molybdenum-bearing for superior pitting and crevice corrosion resistance
  • Low-carbon (L) base minimizes carbide precipitation and intergranular corrosion
  • Large 25 lb production spools for high-deposition, high-volume welding

Ideal Applications

  • High-volume production welding of 316 / 316L molybdenum stainless
  • Marine hardware, boat fittings and coastal structures
  • Chemical, petrochemical and pharmaceutical processing equipment
  • Food-grade tanks, piping and sanitary fabrication

Available Sizes & Recommended Amperage

Diameter Recommended Amperage
.035″ (0.9 mm) 50 – 180 A
.045″ (1.2 mm) 75 – 350 A

Recommended amperage ranges are general guidelines; optimal settings vary with base-metal thickness, joint design, shielding gas, and welding position. Store wire in a dry location to prevent oxidation and ensure smooth feeding.
