Mild Steel Stick Electrode - E7018
E7018 low-hydrogen stick electrodes are the structural welder's standard — an iron-powder, low-hydrogen rod (AWS A5.1 / ASME SFA-5.1) that deposits dense, ductile 70,000 psi weld metal for crack-resistant, code-quality welds. Available in 3/32", 1/8", and 5/32" diameters, in both 10 lb boxes and 50 lb hermetically sealed cans.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does E7018 run on AC or DC?
Both. E7018 welds on AC or DC+ (DCEP / reverse polarity), giving a smooth, stable arc on most stick machines.
Why does E7018 have to be kept dry?
It's a low-hydrogen electrode, so its flux absorbs atmospheric moisture. Store opened rods in a heated rod oven and redry per AWS/manufacturer guidelines; our 50 lb hermetically sealed cans ship them dry.
E7018 vs E6010/E6011 — which should I use?
Use E7018 for high-strength, code, and structural work where crack resistance matters. Use E6010/E6011 for deep-penetration pipe and repair work on rusty or poorly fitted joints.
