E309L-16 Stainless Steel Electrodes are AWS A5.4 low-carbon stick electrodes designed for dissimilar-metal joints and 309/309S stainless steel. They excel at joining stainless steel to carbon or low-alloy steel and at depositing buffer and overlay (buildup) layers, with a lime-titania coating for a smooth, stable arc and easy slag removal on AC or DC+. Supplied as 5/32" × 14" electrodes in a 10 lb pack.
